Open Hand has been in India since 1999 where they focus on hiring widows & other ‘unhirables”, meaning people who would be frowned upon due to their caste, religion, physical disability or disease such as HIV. They provide medical care, education, training and a fair livable wage. They want you to enjoy their products knowing they weren’t produced at the expense of another human being’s safety or dignity.
